Comicon 2013!

Also the 15th edition of the Napoli Comicon has come to an end.
For the ones who don't know, the Comicon is a convention held in Naples to which million of people, such as cosplayers, comics and manga lovers or just curious persons take part to.
Even though I had a lot of fun, I was not so enthusiatic about this year Comicon edition, because of the large number of boors that were there, the lack of cosplays opposed to the plenty of that f#§*@ng free hugs guys and girls.
However, as I just said, I enjoyed myself the same thanks to my friends above all! When you are with the right people, everything is better!
In addition my friends and I made some cosplays:

Shi and Anna were Stich (Lilo & Stich) e Sullivan (Monsters Inc.)

Shi e Anna erano Stich (Lilo e Stich) e Sullivan (Monsters & co.)

Pat and Hota were Nami and Bibi (One Piece)
Pat e Hota hanno portato Nami e Bibi (One Piece)

Daniele was Elle (Death Note)

Francesco was Chopper (One Piece)
Francesco ha portato Chopper (One Piece)

And I was Wolevrine!

Ed io ho fatto Wolverine!

But I had to make the claws first

Ma prima ho dovuto costruire gli artigli

On the last day Anna lend me her kigurumi and i was Sullivan for a while!

Why so many studs and spikes?

It's about a year that studs and spikes are in vogue. They've became a glamour decoration, while just a some years ago they were considered as niche product as well as punk/rock symbol.
Used also on catwalks, they've turned popoular because of street fashion, where guys and girls have utilised them in order to customiseevery kind of object: from clothes to accessories, from jewels to phone covers.

Actually, nowadays the web is full of D.I.Y. tutorials in which is carefully showed how to get your stuff cstomised with studs and spikes.

However, though these items big success and the great use of them, I still haven't been caugth by them, more precisely I'm not a spikes and studs maniac because of the excessive use that some people make of these little metallic things.
If they were used in a way, I would probably like them more, but when I see stuff like a totally studded New Era, ora a leather jacket that turns into a metal jacket, or a pair of shoes (they could be either snekaers or decolletés) looking like a medieval armor I have to look away!

The main issue is that people often mistake quality with quantity.
Guys, everybody knows that too much breaks the bag!

James Senese @ America's Cup!

Last night some friends of mine and I spent some time by the seaside, we wondered how that America's Cup tihing was organised and, much to our surprise, we turned up at a James Senese live performance!
After listenig to his great music (also the drummer Fredy Malfi has been a great palyer), we found that a DJ set held by Boosta, founder of Subsonica, was happening soon after.
We danced all night long!

Fashion loves blog. (Event)

Friday april the 12th, Accademia del Lusso. These are the setting of time and place of the Fashion loves blog, an unusual event was held (unusual for Naples).
It was a sort of meeting, divided into a seminar and a happy hour, about how blogs have influenced the way to convay new trends and the public opinion about fashion.
The seminar was held by five prominent fashion bloggers from Naples: Alessia Sica, Valentina Ciotola, Maria Giovanna Abagnale, Maria Pia Della Valle e Fabiana Sera.
The girls talked about their personal experience as bloggers and also explained the differences between the way of blogging, they dealt with street photography, cool hunting, and personal style blogs.
Everything was well organized in the branch of the Accademia del Lusso, in Piazza Bovio.
The only disadvantage was the fact that the trains were on strike taht day.
Anyway I found this event interesting and useful for those who wants to run a blog, but needs a guidance.
I hope similar events will happen as soon as possible!

"We're like artists [...]"

Sometime I just fell like this.

A volte mi sento così.

Girl  - God, I thought I was the only one ashamed of my pores.
Quinn - We're all ashamed of our pores, but you mustn't be ashamed of your shame.
Jane - So, you did the compassionate thing, and look where it got you.
Daria - She's more popular than ever. We set out to make an exposé, it ends up a love letter.
Jane - See, we're like artists, and this is how we screw ourselves.
Quinn - And you, too, can have bouncy hair if you just take the time to bounce from the inside out. Come on, everyone! Bounce with me!

(sorry, but I wasn't able to find an English speaking video)
